My name is Kevin Porter. I am a sculptor and designer. Though I have worked in many materials, the common element has always been the organic, visual flow . . . the curve.

My influences have been myriad, and eclectic. Two stand out. Miles Davis, one of the most creative minds I've encountered, is the first.  His unrelenting and fearless innovation inspires. The other is Japanese ceramics. Its artisans embrace natural processes in a modest, spiritual way that I find appealing. The way I approach my work arises from both.

I began working in digital design and 3D printing about 12 years ago. The technology has evolved swiftly, and offers a way to create forms that were impossible before its advent.

My design process uses this technology to create organic forms that offer a new approach to decor design and manufacture.
